17th KCIK-ICTQT Symposium on Quantum Information
From May 13 to May 15, 2026, the XVII KCIK-ICTQT Symposium on Quantum Information will take place at the Conference Center of the University of Gdańsk in Sopot, bringing together leading Polish and international experts in the field of quantum information. The event is organised by the National Quantum Information Centre (KCIK) and the International Centre for Theory of Quantum Technologies (ICTQT) at the University of Gdańsk, with the support of the Foundation for the Development of the University of Gdańsk (FRUG), Wrocław University of Science and Technology, the Gdańsk Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics of the University of Gdańsk.
The Symposium is held annually and constitutes one of the most important meetings of the national quantum information community. It is particularly dedicated to researchers working at Polish institutions forming the KCIK network, as well as their collaborators from Poland and abroad. The event is made possible through the involvement of numerous Polish scientific institutions and has for years played a significant role in integrating the community. It provides a platform for the exchange of knowledge, presentation of the latest research results, and the initiation of new scientific collaborations. The aim of the Symposium is to strengthen cooperation between research centres, build lasting scientific relationships, and enhance Poland’s position in the rapidly developing field of quantum technologies.
The programme includes invited talks by leading scientists as well as a poster session for other participants wishing to present their research results. This year’s speakers include, among others: Mohamed Bourennane, Andre Chailloux, Ignacio Cirac, Marek Czachor, Nilanjana Datta, Michał Gawełczyk, Khrystyna Gnatenko, Philippe Grangier, Jan Kołodyński, Barbara Kraus, Josef Lazar, Wiesław Leoński, Giovanna Morigi, Łukasz Pawela, Sandu Popescu, Zbigniew Puchała, Sergii Strelchuk and Volodymyr Tkachuk.
Additionally, on May 15 (Friday) at 17:00, an open lecture by Professor Philippe Grangier will take place at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics of the University of Gdańsk.
Participation in the event is subject to a fee (this does not apply to the open lecture).
